Consumer Reports has come to be recognized as an expert in the automotive world. Recently they ranked the 2012 Subaru Impreza as one of the best cars available, placing it even a notch above all of the other great models Subaru produces.  Not only did Subaru compete against itself, but also against 13 other major auto makers in CR's study. 

Consumer Reports gave the top honor to the Impreza as a result of a "wave of impressive redesigned models in the last few years."¹ 

The Consumer Reports "report card" - which officially came out this month - is comprised of the following categories: comfort, performance, utility, and reliability in the consumer survey. Along with Impreza, Consumer Reports listed the 2012 Outback and the new Legacy as great achievements. Overall, the Subaru company as a whole earned a score 82 for road tests.  This was the highest score for one particular brand in the study.
